Breakthrough Recovery Outreach (BRO) is licensed by the state of Georgia and is a CARF accredited, ASAM Level III, Residential Treatment Program, and the first in metro-Atlanta to offer a wholistic approach in the treatment of mental illness and alcohol and substance abuse.
Wellness of body, mind and spirit is crucial to sustainable addiction recovery. BRO continues to integrate wholistic, scientific evidence –based medical and psychological modalities with the traditional 12 Step Recovery approach of individual and group therapy. We draw from time-tested, bio-psychosocial therapies, as well as prevailing neuroscience, with a “systems” approach to recovery. The whole person is treated: body, mind and spirit – to heal the underlying aspects of a person’s life that have been destroyed not only by addiction, but the underlying causes (post traumatic stress, trauma and abuse, etc.).
BRO’s wholistic approach incorporates different techniques, i.e. Guided Meditation, Yoga, Music and Art Therapy, Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Acupuncture and Qigong Meditation. BRO is the first Residential Treatment Program to offer this wholistic approach.

My greatest passion is helping others. After 31 years of service in the field of education, I retired and launched Rapha House Counseling, Coaching and Consulting. It was a natural segway after serving 15-years as a classroom teacher, followed by 16-years as a School Counselor. My counseling career afforded me the opportunity to work with students in both elementary and middle schools. I believe that my experience with counseling children in school uniquely prepared me for my current work with children and families. Some of the special populations I counsel are children with ADHD, children with behavior issues, children affected by divorce, children in foster care and children being raised by grandparents.
My Christian beliefs enable me to give a biblical perspective to those I serve. Some of the special populations I counsel are children with ADHD, children with behavior issues, children affected by divorce, children in foster care and children being raised by grandparents. I also have experience working with teens, adults and families in crisis, and provide services that address anger management, poor academics, success anxiety, bullying, depression, low self-esteem, social skills and more.
